From November 14, 2021 to November 19, 2021 the largest conference for high performance computing took place for the 36th time. However, this year, everything was different. It was the first SC that was held as a hybrid event, offering the possibility to participate on-site in ST. Louis, Missouri or online.

DEEP Projects: Part of the virtual booth of Jülich Supercomputing Centre

We had the chance to exhibit together with the EuroHPC projects RED-SEA and IO-SEA on the virtual booth of the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. On our booth island virtual visitors were able to inform themselves about the DEEP projects and our goal within DEEP-SEA to deliver software for exascale systems.

Furthermore, DEEP projects playes also a role in the conference programme. Scientists from ETH Zürich presented their paper “Productivity, Portability, Performance: Data-Centric Python". The research was realized with resources from the DEEP-SEA project.
